Meet our Founder

Hi, I’m Corey, the founder of Cosmocost.

After I left the military, I always knew I wanted to build something. I just didn’t know what. I explored all kinds of ideas before eventually stumbling into the world of cosmetics through good old Bramble Berry YouTube videos about making bar soap.

What hooked me wasn’t just making products. It was the idea that I could create something that might genuinely help someone. That was the moment I knew this was what I wanted to do.

I built a dedicated workspace and got to work.

Over time, I started making bar soaps, castile soaps, body washes, shampoos, conditioners, moisturizers, and eventually serums. Before long, cosmetics completely took over my life. I was constantly researching ingredients, testing formulations, and buying raw materials just to understand how they behaved and what made them effective.

Eventually, I realized I wanted to focus on one category in particular: serums.

Vitamin C serums especially fascinated me. I kept noticing people searching for products with specific ingredient percentages or combinations, but they could never quite find exactly what they wanted. That sparked an idea:

Why isn’t anyone truly offering customizable skincare?

There were a few brands attempting it, but most options were extremely limited. I knew this could be done better.

I wanted to create a system where people could actually choose their own ingredients and percentages to build something personalized to their skin goals instead of settling for mystery formulas or tiny “marketing amounts” of trendy ingredients.

That idea became Cosmocost.

Since the beginning, the goal has been simple:

  • meaningful ingredient levels
  • full transparency
  • fresh-made products
  • manufacturer-direct pricing
  • real customization

We’re still improving every day, and honestly, that’s part of the fun. A lot of what Cosmocost becomes will be shaped by customer feedback, ideas, and experimentation along the way.

I’m not interested in putting on a fake marketing facade or pretending to be something I’m not. I simply wanted to build the kind of skincare company I wished existed... one that focuses on transparency, flexibility, affordability, and formulations that actually make sense to the person they are for.

At the end of the day, I just want to help people create skincare they genuinely love.
