By using our customizable skincare service, you acknowledge and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

Know Your Skin – Important Usage Advisory

This product is intended for experienced skincare users. If you are uncertain about ingredient selection or compatibility, please consult a licensed skincare professional before ordering.

Before creating your custom product, it is your responsibility to understand your skin type and the ingredients you select.

We encourage you to:

• Identify your skin type (e.g., dry, oily, sensitive, acne-prone, combination)

• Review ingredient descriptions and research compatibility for your skin’s specific needs

• Be aware of potential sensitivities, ingredient interactions, and overuse risks

Using multiple actives or high concentrations may cause:

• Skin irritation or dryness

• Temporary redness or sensitivity

• Breakouts or flaking

• Other reactions depending on skin type and use

Recommended Guidelines:

Begin with a minimal number of actives

Keep total active concentration below 30%

Always perform a patch test before full use

Product Texture and Sensory Notes

Choosing a high number or concentration of actives may create a heavier or oilier texture that absorbs differently on the skin.
Some natural ingredients (e.g., sea buckthorn oil, licorice root extract, elderberry extract, and essential oils) may stain skin, towels, or fabrics.
Mild tingling, dryness, or temporary sensitivity may occur with certain ingredients, especially at higher levels.

Ingredient Transparency

Each customization option in our product builder lists the actual ingredients included in that selection.
Some are pre-formulated blends, meaning the featured ingredient (such as retinol, peptides, or extracts) is combined with carrier or stabilizing components for safety and performance.
Others are single-ingredient inputs in their pure form.

By creating a custom formula, you acknowledge that:

• You have reviewed the ingredient list for each option
• You understand that support ingredients may be present for preservation, delivery, or stability
• A final INCI-compliant ingredient list will appear on your product label

Packaging and Labeling

Products are provided in amber glass dropper bottles or ultraviolet pump bottles with clear identification labels.
Slight variations in color, thickness, or scent may occur due to natural ingredient differences and batch freshness.
Packaging is intended for personal use and is not designed for resale, gifting, or decorative display.

Percentage Accuracy and Formulation Tolerances

Cosmocost formulates each custom product using professional cosmetic manufacturing procedures and precision measuring equipment. Ingredient percentages listed in the product builder represent target concentrations and are not guaranteed to be exact.

By purchasing a custom formulation, you acknowledge and agree that:

Small-batch cosmetic manufacturing may result in minor concentration variance even under calibrated conditions

Such variance is considered normal within cosmetic industry tolerances and does not constitute mislabeling, defect, or grounds for refund

Certain actives require pre-dilution, encapsulation, or carrier systems for stability and general skin compatibility

Cosmocost may make reasonable formulation adjustments to support performance, safety, and handling while maintaining the intended concentration range

Oxidation, Degradation & Natural Variation

Many cosmetic ingredients particularly antioxidants, vitamins, botanical extracts, oils, and pigments naturally oxidize or degrade over time. This may result in:

• Gradual potency reduction
• Color shifts (e.g., yellowing, orange, pink, or darkening)
• Viscosity or absorption differences
• Minor scent variation
• Natural oxidation and normal ingredient degradation do not indicate spoilage or contamination and do not reduce product safety when used as directed.

Photosensitizing Ingredients

Some ingredients may increase sensitivity to sunlight, including but not limited to:

• Retinol
• Citrus essential oils

If your formula includes these, we recommend:

• Using only at night
• Applying broad-spectrum SPF daily
• Avoiding direct sunlight after application

Stability and Additives

We may include additional cosmetic stabilizers, solvents, thickeners, or preservatives as needed to ensure product safety and consistency.

Minor variation in ingredient weight or texture may occur. Color and viscosity shifts are normal and do not affect safety or quality.

Shipping and Storage

Orders ship from Michigan and may experience both high and low temperature fluctuations during transit. Exposure to heat, cold, or rapid temperature changes may create temporary or permanent cosmetic variations, such as:

• Oil separation or light clouding
• Increased viscosity or temporary thickening
• Scent changes or fade
• Color shifts due to natural oxidation
• Natural settling or particulate formation in botanical extracts

These variations are normal characteristics of oil-based and active-rich formulations and do not affect product integrity, safety, or performance when used as directed. They do not constitute product damage or manufacturing defect.

If your formulation contains temperature-sensitive ingredients (such as retinoids, botanical extracts, or antioxidants), you may consider selecting an expedited shipping method to reduce exposure windows.

To maintain freshness and stability after delivery:

• Store in a cool, dry place
• Avoid direct sunlight and extended heat exposure
• Do not refrigerate unless specifically instructed for that ingredient type
• Cold weather may cause the product to temporarily thicken or cloud; allow the bottle to return to room temperature before use.

Shipping Restrictions

• Cosmocost currently ships only to addresses within the United States.

• Orders placed for shipment outside the United States, or orders identified as being shipped to freight forwarding services, package forwarding companies, mail forwarding services, reshippers, or similar third-party forwarding addresses, may be canceled and refunded at our sole discretion.

No Resale or Commercial Use

Custom products are for personal use only.
Resale, relabeling, or redistribution is prohibited.
For private-label or manufacturing inquiries, please contact Cosmocost, LLC directly.

Refunds and Returns

All custom orders are final sale.
Refunds or replacements are only provided in cases of:

• Shipping damage, or
• Manufacturing defect reported within 7 days of delivery
• Photographic evidence may be required. Cosmocost, LLC reserves the right to decline refunds or replacements if adequate proof is not provided.

Chargebacks

• Customers experiencing an issue with an order are encouraged to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback.
• If a chargeback is filed, Cosmocost reserves the right to limit, suspend, or refuse future service at its sole discretion.

Safety and Use Restrictions

This product is not recommended for:

• Individuals under 18 years of age
• Pregnant or breastfeeding persons
• Those with severely sensitive, damaged, or broken skin
• Individuals using prescription skincare or active dermatological treatments
• Anyone with known allergies to botanical or essential oil ingredients

Customer Consent and Liability

By purchasing and using this product, you confirm that:

• You are 18 years or older and legally capable of entering into this agreement
• You selected your own ingredients and accept full responsibility for the outcome and use
• You have reviewed all ingredient information and agree to perform a patch test before use
• You understand that this product is non-returnable and final sale (except for documented damage or defect)

Limitation of Liability: Cosmocost, LLC’s total liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the product.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cosmocost, LLC, its owners, and employees from any claims, losses, or damages arising from misuse or misapplication of your custom product.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.
Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Michigan, in the county where Cosmocost, LLC operates.
